  1. Since I have had reports of virus infected versions of SHEZ, NONE OF
  2. WHICH HAVE BEEN VERIFIED, beginning with this version I will be using a
  3. program from McAfee Associates called VALIDATE.  This program reads a
  4. file and generates two CRC values that can be checked to verify that a
  5. program has not been tampered with.  The VALIDATE program can be
  6. obtained from the McAfee Associates BBS. If you wish to use this program
  7. first extract SHEZ.EXE and SHEZCFG.EXE from the compressed file.  Then
  8. run the validate program against each program and compare your results
  9. to the ones in this file, or call the McAfee Associates BBS to obtain
  10. the CRC values.  I will be updating the CRC values for each release of
  11. SHEZ on McAfee's BBS so you can be sure they are correct.

  13. PLEASE NOTE YOU MUST RUN THE VALIDATE PROGRAM BEFORE YOU RECONFIGURE
  14. SHEZ.  The CRC values published are for the unconfigured version of

  17. In addition to this method of validating SHEZ the SHEZCFG program now
  18. has the capability to check the SHEZ program.  After starting the
  19. SHEZCFG program choose the item titled "Integrity check the SHEZ
  20. program".

  36. Effective 11/25/89 The Directory Assistance BBS has graciously allowed me
  37. to use their BBS as the main distribution point for SHEZ.  I will
  38. personally upload the most current version of SHEZ to this BBS. In addition
  39. Jim the SYSOP has also set up a seperate SHEZ conference on the BBS.  If
  40. you need help with SHEZ or what to leave me some questions or suggestions,
  41. please use the SHEZ conference on this BBS.  Using this method will get the
  42. fastest response.

  57.         then the ENTER key when the filelist window is displayed will
